English translation:
Mariano Escobedo1827-1902Born in Galeana, Nuevo León. He fought against the North American invasion and in the Reform War. He combatted the French Army, culminating in the campaign to take Querétaro in 1867. He was Governor of his state and of San Luis Potosí, also President of the Supreme Court of Military Justice. Minister of War and the Navy and Deputy to Congress. He died in Mexico.
